PCI

The providers of inter­na­tional payment systems such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB Inter­na­tional have joined forces in the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI = Payment Card Industry) in order to guarantee the security of payments with their payment cards using common standards. The committee maintains, develops and promotes the security standards of the payment card industry. The Council also provides tools for imple­menting the standards. These include, for example, assessment and scan quali­fi­ca­tions, self-assessment question­naires, training courses and product certi­fi­cation programs.

Merchants who accept payments with such cards and service providers who support them must comply with PCI regula­tions. The regula­tions cover best practices in IT security. They cover the production, person­al­i­sation and distri­b­ution of the cards as well as their accep­tance and billing.

SRC is recog­nized by the PCI Security Standards Council as a Qualified Security Assessor and Approved Scanning Vendor in all thematic areas.
