On Wednesday, August 22, 2018, an expert roundtable on the topic of smart energy will take place in Cologne. Organized by eco – Association of the Internet Industry, the expert roundtables are characterized above all by a high level of expertise, multidisciplinary perspectives and a high intensity of discussion.
In August, the event will be held under the motto “Smart energy: not without my smart meter?” and will expand on the previous roundtable on the topic of smart homes. People have been talking about smart metering for many years, but the actual development seems to be lagging far behind the plans and forecasts made at the time. The panel of experts taking place on 22.08.2018 will now discuss new framework conditions, new approaches and new success factors.
Dr. Jens Oberender is a Senior Consultant at SRC. His contribution deals with the topic area “Security and perspectives of smart meters”. He will discuss whether smart meters and their environment can be considered secure. Dr. Jens Oberender will draw on his many years of experience in consulting projects relating to the certification of smart meter gateways.
