Introduction of the MPoC standard After years of intensive work and extensive feedback from the community, the PCI SSC recently published its new security standard for credit card payments on merchant devices such as smartphones or tablets, known as Mobile Payments on Commercial Off-The-Shelf (MPoC). Integration and new functions The MPoC standard integrates existing use cases from the CPoC and SPoC standards and adds new payment functionalities and certification methods.
For example, it enables PIN-based transactions without an additional security device and supports offline transactions.
