SRC receives approval for security assessment of the integration of the mobile digital wallet wero
We are delighted to have recently received approval from the European Payments Initiative (EPI). This enables us to carry out security assessments under the European Payments Initiative (EPI) scheme for the integration of the mobile digital wallet into payment apps and payment service provider (PSP) systems. This recognition underlines SRC’s expertise and reliability in the field of IT security.
Overview of EPI and wero
The European Payments Initiative (EPI) has launched wero, a new digital payment platform that enables users in Germany to transfer money between accounts in a matter of seconds: EPI intends to provide a unified digital payment solution for European consumers and merchants, starting with person-to-person transactions.
Approval for SRC
For SRC, this approval is a confirmation of its expertise and commitment in the area of the security of digital payment solutions. The approval expands the company’s ability to extend its safety assessment services to new and growing markets.
“The approval by EPI allows SRC to apply our proven security assessment methods to the integration of digital wallets and thus contribute to the security of digital payments.” (Gerd Cimiotti, CEO)
With the continuous growth of digital payments, the demand for robust security solutions will continue to increase. In addition to the existing testing services we offer as SRC on mobile devices such as CPOC/MPOC, we are currently more than well equipped to meet this need and contribute to the secure development of the European payment infrastructure.
